Christian Medina Beltz is a working writer, educator and performance artist. He has made it his mission to use storytelling as a means of cultural progression. While living in Miami, he served as campus site director for the Motivational Edge, a youth development organization that uses the arts to motivate and empower at-risk youth to personal and academic success.
A University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, he worked with campus radio station 91.7 WSUM to produce a weekly hip-hop show. Christian also served as a course facilitator for InterCultural Dialogues, a sociology class about social identity and inequality. As a writer and journalist, his work has been featured in Bloomberg BNA, Miami New Times, the UW Center for Journalism Ethics, Charleston Post and Courier, The Smoking Section and many others.
Christian also hold’s Master’s degree from the Goldring Arts Journalism program at Syracuse University. Currently, he resides in the Bay Area working with local community organizations to amplify the voice of the people.
